Welcome to RUF at Tennessee Tech!

RUF is a Christian campus ministry providing opportunities to learn what the Bible teaches and put it into practice in our everyday lives. In RUF, we want to emphasize the importance of both doctrine and life. This means that the gospel must be understood if it's to be lived, and also that it must be lived if it's to be truly understood.

Though we are Presbyterian in affiliation, we welcome students from all walks of life, both the "convinced" and the "unconvinced'. None of us has it all together, but we are people deeply committed to the gospel of Jesus Christ, believing it has the power to change any person, any community, any culture.

Large Group Bible Study: God's Grace to the Lost & the Found

This semester we are going to be "marinating" in Jesus' parable in Luke 15 that is commonly called "The Parable of the Prodigal Son." The reason being, in this story we get both a clear and deep picture of the gospel of Jesus Christ, that he has come for both the moral and the immoral, both the religious and the irreligious, which means that he's come for us! But often times we forget this, and like the elder brother, we view God as a task master, or like the younger brother, we view God as an obstacle to what we think will REALLY make us happy. But what we see in this passage is that God's grace to us in the person and work of Jesus is the personification and incarnation of the love we are all looking for and longing for.

Join us on MONDAY evenings from 8:00-9:15 as we spend time together, "tasting and seeing that the Lord really is GOOD." We meet every Monday in room 370 on the 3rd floor of the UC.
